UNC Recruiting Breakdown: Defensive Ends

North Carolina's football program has been fortunate enough to have several high-impact defensive ends on its roster over the past decade, and in an effort to shore up depth at the position for years to come, the Tar Heel coaching staff is making the position a high priority in recruiting the Class of 2007.


Need at the position


Perhaps no single position on the football field is North Carolina in more need of talented players in the 2007 recruiting class than at defensive end.


The Tar Heels will be losing graduating seniors Brian Rackley and Melik Brown after the 2006 season, two players that currently make up half of UNC's two-deep roster at the position.


The UNC coaches are looking to sign at least two (2) players at defensive end in the 2007 class in order to add necessary talent and depth.
