Call him 'Slim Shady'
It was a difficult decision for Darrell Arthur, but it was time for the No. 16 player in the class of 2006 to officially announce his decision.
After months of rumors and speculation, the five-star prospect signed a Letter-of-Intent with the University of Kansas on May 9.
Arthur will arrive on campus in the near future and is ready for his college career to begin.
"My life has been a lot calmer around here since I made my decision to play at Kansas," said Arthur. "I have been more relaxed and I have been hanging with my friends and family. It's been nice not having so many phone calls and things like that. Things have been much more calm and a lot more quiet."
For more than two years, Arthur, the 6-foot-9, 220-pound combo forward from South Oak Cliff High School in Dallas, Texas, was one of the most heavily recruited players in the class of 2006. High-major programs from across the United States were hoping to get the No. 3 ranked power forward in the class on campus for a visit.
