Hokies extend offer to Florida lineman

Saint Augustine, Fla., Nease High School is home to several Tech targets this recruiting season including the Hokies latest offer extended to offensive tackle Clyde Yandell.

Yandell, a 6-foot-5, 304-pound lineman is the third offer extended to a Nease prospect and fourth could be upcoming this summer to defensive end Danny Russell.

Where do the Hokies sit with Yandell as well as teammates James Wilson and Mario Butler?

"Virginia Tech is very interested in Clyde and extended him an offer about two weeks ago," explained Nease Coach David San Juan. "He was very excited to get the offer and plans to visit Blacksburg in July so he can have a chance to sit down and meet with Coach Beamer."
