Hoosiers join the hunt for Jordan

There's been a lot of talk about the slew of in-state players the Hoosiers are targeting for the Class of 2007, but that doesn't mean the IU staff isn't looking in other places as well. One example of the Hoosiers national recruiting strategy is Texas forward DeAndre Jordan. The 6-foot-11, 240-pound junior is ranked among the best players in his class at 33rd overall and is considered the ninth-best power forward for 2007. The Houston native originally caught IU Coach Kelvin Sampson's eye a long time ago, but he hasn't forgot about him.

Recently, Indiana extended a scholarship offer to Jordan, but Indiana joins a long list of suitors. In the past few weeks he has also received new offers from Florida, Illinois, LSU, and others.
