Taylor focused on improving this summer

Benilde-St. Margaret's point guard Jordan Taylor, 6-foot-1, 168 pounds, has had a solid start to his spring season as he earned all-tournament honors last weekend at the Sabes Invitational. This past year he averaged 20 points per game for the Red Knights and led them to a 20 win season. Division I schools are now showing interest in his versatile abilities on the floor and that includes the local Minnesota Gophers who saw him play a couple times this past year.

Taylor and teammate Armond Battle are two of the best sophomores in state and this past year their production was a big part of Benilde-St. Margaret's 20-8 season. That record is all the more impressive when you take the time to notice that two of the losses were to AAAA state runner-up Cooper, two were at the hands of AAA state champion DeLaSalle and one other loss was to AAAA state champ Hopkins.
