Arthur will be special
Darrell Arthur quietly slipped into bed last night not knowing what to expect at 12:30 CST on Tuesday. However, when the No. 16 player in the class of 2006 awoke earlier this morning, a decision about his future had been made. In his heart, Arthur knew that giving a commitment to the University of Kansas was the best possible option.
"Yes, Darrell has given a commitment to Kansas," said South Oak Cliff head coach James Mays. "He actually made the decision this morning. When it came time for Darrell to decide, he just loved the tradition, coaching staff, players and the environment at Kansas.
For Coach Bill Self and the Kansas Jayhawks, Arthur's decision to sign with the Hawks is a dream come true. It is no secret that Self and his staff have spent a great deal of time and energy recruiting the 6-foot-9, 220-pound power forward from South Oak Cliff High School.
Arthur chose the Jayhawks over Baylor and LSU.
