Prospects impressive at camp

Combines always give players a chance to go toe-to-toe with players that are on par with other in terms of athleticism and ability. The combine held Sunday in Oxford was no different.

Several of the region's top players squared off in a number of drills and tests to see who was the best. The combine also provided a chance for players to check out Ole Miss and the facilities that the Rebels have. caught up with a few of the top performers at the camp to see what they had to say.

Colton Jenkins

"I thought I did good, my speed has been great, especially coming off surgery. I thought I was ready to go back to practice, but I found out I really wasn't," Jenkins said. "I was glad we ran a couple tight end plays I really like and hope we can run those this season."

Jenkins is seven weeks out from shoulder surgery and went through his first large scale workout since repairing the damage in his arm. How did things hold up?

"It held up pretty good, a few times people would pop me in it, but I would get over the pain."

Many believe that Jenkins could be on the verge of a commitment to Ole Miss in the coming weeks. When asked about the prospects of spending more time in the future inside the Ole Miss practice facility, Jenkins was very forward with his response.

"Hopefully, one day I'll be here."
