When Jamelle Horne committed to Arizona in January, he was ranked 22nd in the 2007 class but certainly wasn't getting the hype of such a highly-rated player. At the time, Horne was seen as an athlete with a ton of potential.

After watching him play at the Double Pump Spring Classic this weekend in Las Vegas, it's clear to that Horne is tapping into that potential quicker than many people expected.

6-foot-7 and 205 pounds from San Diego High School, Horne has the body, athleticism and work ethic to make a career playing basketball. Thanks a lot to help from Jason Baskin from Emerald City Basketball Academy out of Seattle, Wash., Horne's shot is quickly improving.

A kid that wakes up at 4:30 a.m. every day to go to the gym, the hard working Horne has also been doing plyometrics exercises with Plyotek out of San Diego. With Horne's improved shooting and athleticism, he's that much better than he was a year ago.
