Matt Hill is ready to report
Matt Hill dominated the competition in the Nebraska high school ranks last season, averaging 21 points and 12.5 rebounds on a state semi-final team. When do you report to Austin? June 1st.
What type of workouts are you going through to get ready for the next level?
I'm doing individual workouts with Coach Smith and an assistant. I'm also working on footwork, agility, balance and lifting weights three days a week.
What specifically are you working on in individual workouts?
Making everything faster. I'm working on a higher, quicker release. On my jump hook, extending higher is what we are working on because I'll get it blocked in college if I don't release high enough. I'm working on mechanics on my jump shot too. Making sure I elevate.
What are your expectations when you report June 1st?
Really, trying to work hard in the weight room, individuals and in the class room. Getting ready to play next year, whether it's starting or coming off of the bench is what I'm working for. Whatever I have to do to help the team.
