Vegas Day 1 news and notes

Day 1 in Las Vegas for BearTerritory was filled with a few wrong turns and a load of basketball - not in that order. Despite visiting nearby Henderson mid-afternoon, we were able to catch plenty of morning, afternoon, and evening AAU games as the Double Pump High School Boys Spring Basketball Classic and the Vision Sports Las Vegas Spring Showcase tipped off. Along with recent Cal verbal Harper Kamp in action, there were plenty of prospects that jumped out.


While Kamp was one of the top attractions, 2007 all-CIF performer Drew Viney got the action started before anyone. So it was off to Valley high school in East Las Vegas in the morning to catch the SoCal Razorbacks. With a handful of national coaches looking on, Viney showed off his versatility by scoring inside and out. He also made a number of nice passes as SCA moved on with a win.
