Draft Day Looms

Like cars rolling off the assembly line in Detroit, Georgia's penchant for producing NFL defensive backs isn't showing any signs of slowing down.

Frank Coyle of Draftinsiders.com feels that both of Georgia's cornerbacks from a year ago, DeMario Minter and Tim Jennings, will easily find their way on NFL rosters with Minter perhaps being one of the best bargains of the NFL Draft.

"I personally like Minter a lot. I think that he could be one of the most underrated players in the draft," Coyle said.

Right now, Minter's predicted to either be picked up late in the first day of the draft, which includes the first three rounds, or early on the second day.

Since late in the season, Minter's caused his own stock to rise. He all but shut down Georgia Tech's Calvin Johnson, holding him to two catches and had a pair pass breakups and an interception in the SEC Championship against LSU. A 40-yard dash time of 4.52 did nothing but help Minter's potential selection on draft day.

Jennings will more than likely be picked up on the second day of the draft, but there are a few other Dawgs expected to be selected on day one ....
