Zoubek will be a tall order next year

Duke is losing it's anchor in the middle when Shelden Williams finishes the semester and enters the NBA. Trying to replace the two-time National Defender of the Year won't be easy but the Blue Devils are hoping Brian Zoubek helps bridge the gap next year.

The 7-foot-2, 270-pound center from Haddonfield is coming off a huge senior season and is ready for the challenges that await him in the ACC.

Zoubek helped lead Haddonfield to it's third straight state title, a feat that hasn't happened to a team from South Jersey in 60 odd years.

Zoubek averaged 24.7 points, 12.2 rebounds and four blocks per game all the while shooting a mind-boggling 72.3 percent from the floor. He was recently named the New Jersey Gatorade Player of the Year, an honor he received over McDonald's All Americans Lance Thomas and Earl Clark.
