No player on Auburn's roster receives (and deserves) more national adulation than Shon Coleman.
Even people who loathe Auburn love this guy. And this story.
Coleman signed with Auburn in 2010 as a five-star tackle. He missed two full seasons after undergoing chemotherapy for leukemia and now has two seasons of football practice under his belt.
Now he's ready to go. This could be a great ride.
There are so many things that stand out about Coleman. I've only seen one other player who weighs more than 300 pounds and seemed light on his feet. That was Greg Robinson, who now is a millionaire. Coleman has remarkable agility, due to physical gifts and a body that's powerful without being flabby. He's a massive human being, but he's also an incredible athlete.
Coleman has a long arms. He has quick feet. He's learned to play with good posture and doesn't get knocked backward very often. He uses his arms as weapons on the field, slowing defensive linemen with powerful blows to the shoulder pads.
