Tigers look to keep Braggin' Rights

Missouri has won three straight games in the Braggin' Rights series against Illinois. And, yet, the Tigers have only two players on their roster who have ever beaten the Illini.

Even though they haven't been in the arena for the Braggin' Rights battle, the newest Tigers already know what to expect.

"I watched it on TV last year," said Earnest Ross, who did not travel with the team while sitting out due to transfer rules. "It looked like a crazy exciting game that fans are really very supportive about. Me just coming here last year seeing that kind of made me look forward to an actual game to play in this year. This year when we play them, I'm going to be very excited and hyped up."

Asked if he had ever played in a game that would match what he anticipated Saturday night, Keion Bell said, "No. I had one that was sort of kind of a rivalry, but it was nothing to this extent. Different levels of basketball."

His coach cut him off shortly thereafter.

"I've never seen that," Frank Haith said. "So a neutral court game with that kind of atmosphere, surely they would have never seen that either."

The Tigers and Illini tip off at 5 p.m. on Saturday. PowerMizzou.com will provide Instant Analysis and coverage throughout the night.
