HD: Saunders talks debut & Norvell shows off atheltic ability

Oklahoma's offensive unit walked into the Tuesdays media session all smiles.

And for good reason.

Scoring a touchdown on four of their first 5 possessions Saturday Oklahoma picked up where they left off two weeks ago in Lubbock.

However, unlike the Sooners performance versus the Red Raiders this one included a new wrinkle in junior Jalen Saunders who caught a pair of receptions for 54 yards.

SCOOPHD caught up with the talented wide receiver this evening as well as his coach Jay Norvell who showed off 'Five-Star' athletic ability of his own as Damien Williams raced down the Sooner sidelines to a 95-yard touchdown.

Irwin downplays injury

Tuesday evening starting offensive guard Bronson Irwin downplayed any type of lingering injury after getting his ankle rolled up on the Sooners opening drive.

"Yeah I got my ankle stepped on by the (running) back but I just had to go get taped up and I was ready to go," said Irwin.

"You couldn't have kept me out of that. It could have been broken I would still have tried to go back in."

"I knew we had guys that could step up but you weren't going to keep me out for long. I got taped up and was ready to go for the PAT."

The Sooners are already down a trio of offensive linemen in Tyler Evans (ACL), Nila Kasitati (ACL), and Tyler Evans (neck).
