Redshirt Review: Issac Dixon

Oregon defensive backs coach John Neal has had no trouble crossing the country to recruit talent. In 2010, one of his targets was a linebacker/running back out of the Miami area, who Neal envisioned as a safety in college.

Next up in Duck Sports Authority's 2012 Redshirt Review series is Monsignor Pace high school product Issac Dixon.

Before Oregon

The first taste Issac Dixon had of Eugene was the 2009 Washington State game. Dixon sat in the stands on a rainy day as the Ducks trounced the Washington State Cougars.

During his recruitment he was rated as the No. 66 outside linebacker in the country with a Rivals.com 3-star rating.

The 5-foot-11, 196-pound athlete chose the Ducks over offers from Kansas State, Mississippi, Oklahoma State, South Florida and Syracuse.

One other safety, Erick Dargan signed with Dixon in Oregon's Class of 2010. Dargan has not used his redshirt year and is now a sophomore eligibility-wise and is currently on the free safety depth chart.
