OVERVIEW


Throughout the fall coaches have stressed tempo and today may have been the most up tempo day so far. Not only that, but the crispness from the offense was impressive. Lots of coaching is now going on, heading into the last week of fall camp before the team will prepare for Sac. State and coaches were on top of it, shouting at guys who weren't hustling from play to play.



Cam Collins sat again due to a sore hamstring according to Coach Riley, but Lance Mitchell and Mana Tuivailala returned and played throughout the two hour session.  As the team focused on special teams for quite a long time, I noticed Malcolm Agnew and Rashaad Reynolds being used as gunners on kick coverage. Let's start the discussion about having key starters in such roles.



Not sure if ST coach Bruce Read is stressing hang time for kicker Trevor Romaine, but most of his kicks end up at the five or inside. When he buries his head and drives the ball he has all the leg in the world to get it into and sometimes out of the endzone. It's been a while, if not forever, since OSU has had a guy with this strong of a leg.
