Mountaineers on an island

Coming into fall the cornerback position is another that is expected to be highly competitive throughout the duration of camp. Although the Mountaineers return all-Big East first team selection Keith Tandy on the left side, finding a replacement to fill the productivity left behind by the departure of three-year starter Brandon Hogan will be the ultimate task as the 2011 season approaches.

Hogan was selected by the Panthers with the 98th pick in the 2011 draft after a career that included 171 tackles, 24-pass break-ups and 4 interceptions in three seasons as a cornerback.
