Murray sustains sprained ankle

Sources confirm to UGASports that quarterback Aaron Murray has sustained what is being described as a "leg injury" by team trainer Ron Courson, who officials from the University say continues to examine the redshirt sophomore this afternoon.

According to earlier reports by the UGA student newspaper Red and Black stated sources said that the redshirt sophomore has broken his ankle in two places, but officials tell UGASports that is not the case. The paper says Murray was seen using crutches Monday.

It is not yet known whether the quarterback will have to miss any of spring practice which is set to begin March 10.

Murray is coming off an excellent first year with the Bulldogs after throwing for 3,049 yards and 24 touchdowns during regular season play.

More information as it becomes available.
