Robinson ready to visit

Mississippi State has been one of the top rushing teams in the Southeastern Conference in Dan Mullen's first two seasons in Starkville.

Franklinton, La., three-star prospect Josh Robinson hopes to be the next in line of top tailbacks for the Bulldogs. The 5-foot-9, 198-pound speedster committed to MSU before his senior season and will take his official visit this weekend.

Robinson will fly up on Friday and tour his future homestead and get to know his teammates.

"I'm just going to go up there and meet a couple of my teammates that I am going to be playing with," Robinson said. "I'm going to be a part of the family up there. Come next year they are going to be like my other family from home. I'm going to be staying up there for a while so I've got to get used to the environment. I'm looking forward to meeting all of the guys and the coaches."

Robinson spoke with the Bulldogs running backs coach Greg Knox on Monday to get a preview of the agenda his official visit would entail.

"He just told me how the weekend was going to go," Robinson said. "We are going out to eat and going to Coach Mullen's house and jump in his pool but it's too cold. He said it was snowing up there so I'm not going to be jumping in a pool."

Robinson garnered offers from New Mexico, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, Oklahoma State, Southern Miss, Tulsa, Central Florida and other but has remained solid since his commitment at the Big Dawg Camp in July. He expects this weekend's visit to State to be his last.
