Defensive stats: UCLA

What a difference a week makes. After coming out and holding Cal to 23 yards rushing, the Beavers hit a major speed bump in their quest for a bowl game and allowed UCLA to run roughshod over them in a 17-14 loss in Los Angeles.


While it is hard to celebrate after a bitter loss like that, as we do weekly, we take a look at the defensive performance and statistics and break them down by the top performers. This week two defensive backs were neck and neck for the top honors, where safety Suaesi Tuimaunei narrowly edged out cornerback James Dockery.


MVP honors for the linebackers go to Dwigth Roberson who added seven tackles and two break-ups. Keith Pankey was right in the mix as well and he led the team in tackles with nine.
