Tulsa Team Report

After looking pedestrian for a week, Tulsa's offense appears to be back.

The Golden Hurricane was powerful again, racking up more than 500 yards in a 52-24 homecoming win over Tulane.

Saturday marked the first time this season that Tulsa surpassed the 50-point barrier. It was the fourth time the Golden Hurricane tallied at least 500 yards this season, and the 29th time in coach Todd Graham's tenure.

What may surprise some is that Tulsa did most of its damage in the running game. The Golden Hurricane has been a strong running team, but it has earned its high-octane reputation as a passing team. Against Tulane, Tulsa churned out 332 rushing yards, averaging nearly 8 yards per carry.

"It was just taking what they gave us," Graham said. "One of the things they really did was play well statistically, and (the Green Wave) have been very, very good defensively, and so we did what we had to do.
