Defensive points & Giant Killer Award

Against one of the most prolific offenses in the nation, the Beaver defense was able to stop the Wildcats when it counted and help seal the victory. It wasn't always pretty and the Beavers gave up some big yards, but credit some big plays, one by this weeks Giant Killer.


Safety Suaesi Tuimaunei's interception in the end zone helped catapult him into his first Giant Killer Stone award of the season. Tuimaunei also led the team in tackles (with 7). Fellow defensive back James Dockery also added seven tackles and Brandon Hardin tacked on six. In fact, the DB's tallied 27 of the Beavers 57 total tackles...almost 50% on the night (47.4% to be exact).
