Odighizuwa growing up fast

When five-star defensive end Owamagbe Odighizuwa announced for UCLA last February the Bruins faithful let out collective roar of approval.

One of the teams that were in the hunt for Odighizuwa were the Cal Bears and now the true freshman will be lining up against the school that once was thought of a leader for his services. The Bruins are thrilled that Odighizuwa will be suiting up for the Bruins this Saturday.

BruinBlitz.com caught up the true freshman starting defensive end after a recent practice.

BruinBlitz.com: You are getting another start as a true freshman, this time against Cal, a school that you liked quite a bit, as well as UCLA when you were getting recruited last year…

Odighizuwa: “Yeah, definitely, Cal was one of the schools that I was strongly considering back when I was getting recruited by them. They have a great coaching staff and their D-line coach is a cool guy. I thought overall Cal was a good place, but it wasn’t a fit for me and that’s why I’m here at UCLA.”
