UCLA finishes week of practice

The Bruins had a high energy session to end a week of good practice. Even better when you think of how a young team responded after the tough loss to K-State, now it is important for this team to have a good performance against a very tough Stanford team who will want to shake their road losing streak.

Stanford, by their nature are overachievers and they may be thinking UCLA is ripe for the taking and therefore with a victory over the young (in experience) Bruin football team they will end a conference losing streak on the road.

Neuheisel and his UCLA Bruins are hoping to continue Stanford's road game losing streak.

Neuheisel: "It was a good week of practice. I think our guys understand the importance of the game. They understand the chance to right the ship from the mistakes that cost us victory last week.

"We got to make sure we use the remaining hours prior to the kickoff to make sure we got ourselves mentally ready for the contest and we're going to play much better than we did last week. That is pivotal. Young teams have to grow up fast, and hopefully they will I know they want to and it is up to us as coaches to show them the way.

"But I'm looking forward to the game. It should be a great night at the Rose Bowl. It's fun to play college football. So let's get it on."
