Six-pack with Tiger Bait's Mike Scarborough

LSU held on to beat North Carolina by a 30-24 score, and now, the 16th-ranked Tigers head to Nashville to take on a Vanderbilt team that lost a 23-21 heartbreaker to Northwestern.'s Chris Lee spoke with publisher Mike Scarbrough to get his take on what he learned from LSU's win on Saturday, as well as his take on All-American cornerback Patrick Peterson and other key Tigers coming into Saturday evening's contest, as well as his thoughts on coach Les Miles's job status.

1. LSU got a big win over a depleted North Carolina team in its opener. What did we learn about the Tigers from that game?

"Well, I think with LSU, it's obvious that they're a young football team. You saw the new guys on defense, and I think that… there's a lot to be learned about what this LSU team's capable of going forward, because obviously they lost a starter on the offensive line on the first play of the game, and they're very thin there, and they can ill-afford another injury there.

"They had some big plays, obviously, but we're still waiting to see how effective Jordan Jefferson is going to be with intermediate passes. The only two passes he had all night long that were over 10 yards, besides the big bomb to Reuben Randle, were a couple of passes to Mitch Joseph, the tight end.
