Outside in the rain on Day 10

Monday's practice brought rain and terrific execution in the passing game. Offensively Ryan Katz and his slew of receivers were as good as I've seen them this spring. .

Special teams went very well today, Johnny Hekker boomed punt after punt beyond 50 yards into the waiting arms of Markus Wheaton who I think looks like a natural as a punt returner and may take over for James Rodgers. Hekker seems to be getting his kicks off quicker also.

Justin Kahut was on target all day, but the most impressive thing from Justin today was his on-side kicking. Kahut consistently put the ball 12 yards down field and up high where his guys had a chance to go get it. Great weapon to have for emergency situations down the road, or just a sneaky shot at gaining momentum.

One thing that stood out to me was the athleticism across the board on our kick coverage team. Coach Read must be licking his chops at the size, speed, and natural athletic ability he has on his special teams units. OSU was great covering kicks last season and I think will be even better this season.
