Neuheisel talks scrimmage
It was a pretty successful scrimmage. Though the defense, at least by the eyeball, looked better, but the offense still made some plays. It appears that this is a team that will only get better. There was a lot of positive chatter among the fans, team and their families about the direction this team is going.
Even recruits on hand have gone away impressed by the progress this team is making. Rick Neuheisel has been relentlessly positive all spring about his team and their effort. The following are Neuheisel's thoughts and answers to the media's questions.
Neuheisel: "Obviously when you get 75 plays of scrimmage and have very few nicks (injuries) that is really terrific work. There's lots of things that still need to get fixed, but I see progress and I see a lot of young players stepping up into the fore.
"Patrick Larimore is making all kinds of plays. He (Larimore) comes to mind. Joseph Fauria looks to be a weapon for us.
"I'm pleased with where we are. I'm pleased, but we have to get a lot more work done this second half and if we can improve just little bit more than we did in the first half then we will be right where we need to be at the conclusion of spring football."
