Spring report: The offense

MORGANTOWN--West Virginia begins spring practice today. The spring game will be April 30, an inaugural Friday night commencement to period when head football coach Bill Stewart and a re-shuffled staff will take a look at new prospects and figure their team's shortcomings before fall ball.

Offensively, the question comes at quarterback where rising sophomore (all class rankings here equate to next year's football eligibility ) Eugene Geno Smith cracked a small bone in his foot during off-season winter conditioning.
