Pullen, Wildcats bottle up Fredette

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Behind stifling defense, seventh-ranked Kansas State sent No. 17 Brigham Young and dangerous Jimmer Fredette packing back to Utah. The No. 2 seeded Wildcats will head west to Salt Lake City as well, armed with their first Sweet 16 appearance since 1988, in part because they were able to hold Fredette when it most mattered in an 84-72 win over the seventh-seeded Cougars in a NCAA Tournament second-round game Saturday night at the Ford Center.
