Benjamin hearing from a host of schools

Probably the premiere wide receiver in the 2011 class from the state of Florida is Kelvin Benjamin of Glades Central High School. The 6 foot 6, 215-pound Benjamin has a host of offers from schools such as Miami, Florida, FIU, Florida State, West Virginia and North Carolina State. How many total offers does he have?

"I am not sure," said Benjamin. "Coach Hester (Glades Central's head coach) told me to call him as some more schools have offered. I just haven't been able to get a hold of him yet."

Have you talked to any schools recently?

"I just talked to Coach Z (Zach Azzanni) from the University of Florida. He wants me to come up for their junior day, but I may have a basketball game. I probably talk to him the most of all the coaches recruiting me."

Do you have a top 5 or top 10?

"No, I have to sit down and go through all the offers to see who all has offered."

What are your plans for this spring?

"I am running track, and I plan on going to the Nike Camp. I am also playing in the 7-on-7 tournament for Team SoFLA."

Benjamin had 36 receptions, 861 yards and 5 touchdowns last fall as a junior.
