Curtis White on the mend

In a recruiting class bristling with offensive weapons it can be hard to pick and choose who the standouts are. Not the case with Curtis White. The Sheldon High School athlete is a walking highlight reel on the field with his unusual combination of physical play and soft hands. In early January, White was in San Antonio, Texas for the Army All-American game.

"I was on the sidelines doing some recruiting for the Ducks," said White. "I was looking pretty puny compared to those other guys since I haven't been able to lift in a couple months. But it was a great experience and I had a great time."

The White clan turned it into a family event, checking out various corners of America en route to share the experience with Curtis in Texas.

"My family drove," said the Eugene star. "They actually made it a family vacation and saw some National Parks, saw Disneyland and came and saw me. That was awesome."
