Thompson's Trips to Norman Already 'Old Hat'

Of all of the visitors on Oklahoma's campus for the Sooners junior day there is no question that Moore (Okla.) Southmoore quarterback, and Oklahoma commitment, Kendal Thompson is the most familiar. In fact the 6-foot-2, 180-pound signal caller could probably have played the role of host rather than guest if the Sooner coaching staff was short-handed.

But as they were fully equipped Thompson simply took a day with his family seeing many things he was already well aware of. However Thompson does admit that a chance to hang out with quarterbacks coach Josh Heupel was probably the most lingering memory o the day.

"It was good, it was pretty much the same stuff, nothing new," Thompson said. "For the most part that's what I was doing was talking to him.

"He is just a fun guy to be around. He is an athlete and has been around the game for a long time, he seems like a great guy.

"I was with the rest of the group, I broke off when went to the game but that's about it and I was sitting with coach Heupel."
