Mullen talking Razorbacks
Once again this week Mississippi State will be facing a high scoring offense.
But as dangerous as Arkansas' offense is, the Bulldogs have already seen five offenses ranked in the Top 30 nationally.
"Arkansas has a bunch of talent in a lot of skill players," said MSU head coach Dan Mullen[/db ]. "To be honest, we've played four teams in the Top 8 and all of them have explosive offensive talent. It's going to be similar to a lot of the games we've played with the speed and talent that Florida has, Alabama, Houston and Georgia Tech have a lot of firepower on offense. We've seen a bunch of those offenses this year so hopefully we come out and play with some great effort and keep our attacking mentality on that side of the ball."
The Razorbacks are currently ranked 10th in the country averaging 450.1 points a game and eighth putting up 37.6 points per game.
On the other hand, Arkansas' defense is ranked 97th surrendering 412 yards and 25.5 points to their opponents this season. But Mullen has been impressed with what he has seen from their defense on film.
"They are a real solid defense front to back," Mullen said. "They've got some real good d-linemen and big hitting linebackers and do a real nice job in the secondary."
State's offense is ranked 66th after being ranked 113th the previous two seasons. The Bulldogs are averaging 367.5 yards and 24.5 points a contest in their first season in Mullen's spread attack.
