Fiedorowicz ready to visit Iowa
With his senior season coming to an end this past weekend, four-star tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz is ready to take another look at his recruiting. The first step for the 6-foot-7, 240-pound Fiedorowicz, who verbally committed to Illinois back in July, will be an official visit to Iowa City this weekend for the Hawkeyes' regular season finale against Minnesota.
Considered one of the top tight ends in the entire country, Fiedorowicz committed to Illinois this past summer over scholarship offers from Iowa, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, and a number of others. Since then, however, he has continued to follow the Hawkeyes this season and looks forward to getting back on campus for an extended visit.
After the trip to Iowa, Fiedorowicz currently plans to make his official visit to Illinois on December 11. His plan would then be to make a final decision between the two schools sometime over the holidays or possibly wait and announce at the U.S. Army All-American Game in early January.
On the season, Fiedorowicz's Johnsburg team finished with an 8-4 record after losing to Richmond-Burton 28-10 in the Class 4A quarterfinals on Saturday. It was another big year for the four-star prospect as he had 44 catches for 921 yards and 15 touchdowns. Fiedorowicz ended his high school career with 42 touchdown catches, just one shy of an Illinois high school record.
