Higgins gets help in Buffs' season opener

BOULDER, Colo. - There were many times last year when Cory Higgins was forced to try and carry the Buffaloes' men's basketball team on his back. It didn't work out so well for CU, as they lost a school record 22 games. If Friday night's opener is any indication, Higgins will get more help from his teammates this season. The junior guard led the way with 26 points, but four other Buffs also scored in double figures, as they cruised to an 88-72 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff in front of 5,086 fans at the Coors Events Center.
