Top DT focusing on season; plans AU visits

Warner Robins (Ga.) High's Jeffrey Whitaker is one of the more highly-recruited defensive tackle prospects in the country.

He has offers from the SEC, the ACC, the Pac-10, the Big 12. Name the conference, the 6-foot-3, 265-pounder has the opportunity to play college football in it.

But one of the last things on Whitaker's mind right now is recruiting. According to him, he has bigger things to think about.

"I'm thinking more about my senior year coming up, more excited about doing good with my teammates, than I am about recruiting," said Whitaker. "It's given me time to concentrate more on my senior year in the classroom and on my senior season on the football field.
