Grimes happy for former OT
The New York Giants selected former Auburn offensive tackle Brandon Mosley in the fourth round of the NFL Draft on Saturday.
Mosley was the 36th pick of the round and No. 131 overall.
Mosley is the first Tiger selected in this year's draft, but the second offensive tackle in the last two years. Former left tackle Lee Ziemba was selected in the seventh round of the 2011 Draft. Mosley and Ziemba were the starting tackles for Auburn during its 2010 national championship season.
Auburn offensive line coach Jeff Grimes was excited for Mosley after learning the news on Saturday.
"I'm really happy for him. I love the kid," said Grimes. "I think the world of him as a person. I'm just really happy for him."
Mosley signed with Auburn in 2010 out of Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College. He was projected to be tight end and was ranked as one of the top JUCO prospects at his position in the 2010 class. ...
