Top performers at Monday MSU camp
Mississippi State welcomed over 520 high school players to its individual camp on Monday and several players could end up playing their college careers in that very setting.
BulldogBlitz was once again on hand for the camp and brings to you the top dozen players who stood out above the rest.
1. Justin Cox
School: West Point
Hometown: West Point, Miss.,
Logan's take: I have seen Cox play over the past few years probably more times than I can count. I've always been impressed with his athleticism but never more so than on Monday. Cox usually plays quarterback and I have rarely even seen him practice on defense much less play it in a real game. But nonetheless Cox looked like he had been playing corner his whole career shutting down every receiver he faced. Some of the receivers he faced never even got off the line of scrimmage as he jammed them out of bounds at the point of attack. He posted the fasted forty time of the day burning up a 4.41 time. His strong performance led to an offer from the Bulldogs Monday afternoon.
