Four-star corner getting closer to a decision

Please excuse Jonathan Rose if he has been a little overwhelmed by everything that has happened to him over the past few months.

The 6-foot-2, 170-pounder from Leeds, Ala., emerged out of relative obscurity following his junior season and is now ranked as the nation's No. 3 cornerback prospect.

"It's been surprising but it's something you get used to as it goes on," Rose said. "It's not something that I'm used to because at the beginning of this year you wouldn't have seen none of this. It just happened to hit all at once and it's a nice process to go through. I'm liking it all and am blessed to have this opportunity to do these things and get this attention."

Rose's talents have not gone unnoticed by colleges coaches either as he holds offers from Auburn, Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Memphis, Mississippi State, Southern Miss and Tennessee.

"The recruiting process has been great for me," Rose said. "I've met a lot of nice coaches and a couple of good players. Everything is going pretty nice right now and I'm liking all schools. The bad thing about recruiting is that I've got to pick one but I've liked it all up until now."

The four-star prospect spent last weekend at Alabama for his first camp of the summer and has visits to both Auburn and Tennessee in the coming weeks.
