Petrino talking Mississippi State

Mississippi State will make the trip to Little Rock this weekend to take on a hot Arkansas squad.

The Razorbacks and head coach Bobby Petrino have won three straight becoming bowl eligible with a 6-4 record. They are coming off an impressive 56-20 win over Troy last week accounting for 592 net yards.

"Now we get to prepare and go play Mississippi State in Little Rock," Petrino said. "We're looking forward to the game. We know it will be a good challenge. They are playing very good defense and they really run the ball. We've got a lot of work ahead of us."

Arkansas' offense is statistically one of the nation's best. The Razorbacks are The Razorbacks are currently ranked 10th in the country averaging 450.1 points a game and eighth putting up 37.6 points per game.

Mississippi State won last season's matchup in Starkville rallying back from an early 14-0 deficit in the first quarter for the 31-28 victory.

But last season's Razorbacks were without the services of current starting quarterback Ryan Mallett. The 6-foot-7, 238-pound sophomore has completed 59.5-percent of his throws this season for 2,882 yards, 23 touchdowns and just four interceptions.
