just some notes on how a few of our former Tigers are doing:
AAA * since being released by Pawtucket and picked up by Tacoma, Tug Hulett has been on a tear hitting .467 with 3 HR and 10 RBI in 30 at bats. * despite being currently on the DL, Josh Donaldson (Sacramento) leads all former Tigers with 18 HRs and 67 RBIs (tied with Mike Bianucci)
AA: * Justin Christian leads all former Tigers in batting average (.276) and stolen bases (21) for the season * Bryan Woodall, Mobile, has the most wins among AU pitchers with 6. he is 2nd in KOs with 70.
A ADVANCED: * Cole Nelson has been promoted all the way from Rookie League (GCL Tigers) to A Advanced Lakeland. Nelson has 31 KOs in 20 1/3rd innings. * Mike Bianucci, Bakersfield is tied with Donaldson for most RBI among former Tigers (67) and is 2nd in HRs (17) * after getting off to a really rocky start, Josh Sullivan has won his last two decisions.
A: * Trent Mummey was promoted from A Short (Aberdeen) to A (Delmarva) * Hunter Morris has played well for Wisconsin, batting .253 with 9 HR, 40 RBI and 5 SB * Scott Shuman has passed 100 KOs for the season, pretty remarkable for a relief pitcher. Shuman leads AU pitchers with 101 KOs and 13 Saves. * Taylor Thompson has found a niche as a closer for Kannapolis and now has 6 saves to his credit.
A SHORT: * Austin Hubbard had 3 saves this week to bring his total to 9. he is also 3-1 with an 0.44 ERA.
ROOKIE: * Stephen Kohlscheen has been a very pleasant surprise for Pulaski. he is off to a 3-0 start with 28 Ks
