After last year, I was expecting an all-star type year? What is holding him back?

He has had a good year. His run support has been atrocious. In his last 10 starts: 6 of those he gave up 1 run or less & 2 of those 2 runs or less. He's only given up more than 3 run once (4)in his last start @ the Cubs. After his slow start to the season he's been nothing but solid.

The losses seemed to mount after he got ripped by the white sox before the all-star break, and then for a few games thereafter he was struggling, but lately he has pitched pretty good but just hasnt gotten the run support he need to get the win.

Add to that his dizzy spells he had in some of the stinkers, and his numbers on paper may not look as well as he has pitched this year. I'll take Hanson as my future ace anyday.

His body language is saying please pull me out of the game.

I'm not a big fan. I've never gotten too excited about him after witnessing his first MLB start against the Brewers. After hearing numerous times that he throws in the high 90s and then finding out that really means low to sometimes mid 90s and straight as an arrow.

Say what u want about the lack of movement on his fastball @ times, but he consistently throws in the mid to upper 90's.

Mid to upper? I watch a lot of Braves' games, and the radar gun is usually 93 to 95 when he's on the mound. And I'd say more 93 and 94 than anything else. He may touch 96 a couple times a game. When he was in the minors all I read about was his overpowering high 90s fastball. I think 97-98 when I think upper 90s.
