Your team is no longer disciplined. They give up, they lack effort, they do not fight, they mail it in and they just want to end the game. Your team cannot perform the fundamentals, (blocking, tackling, pass protection or pass defense, and have in fact digressed in all areas in just two short years. You have in fact been the worst at fundamentals and at defense in the last four years than at any point in school history. You have set school records for futility and ineptitude and humiliating defeats. The team has no leadership. You lose not only to your rivals, badly, and are never really even in the games at all, but you also lose to all of the rest of the teams in your league, yes all of them, (even the traditionally weak sisters), and by horrendous scores, (again, the worst in school history), which causes the stands to be cleared out by halftime. Fan's even stop coming to the games. Nobody even wants to watch you on TV. All the while, you are paid 3.5 million dollars per year to keep all this from happening, but you are clueless. You don't have any idea about how to fix it, and in fact you seem to be ignoring it, week by week by week. The CEO, of any company would NOT survive the last two years that Gene Chizik has brought upon his institution, they would be fired without haste and with malice, and at 3.5 million per year, Gene has to be held accountable.

Former Auburn fullback Heath Evans recently said to ESPN 97.3 in Birmingham : "I saw this coming and nobody wanted to believe me. I worked out with the team awhile back ... Discipline, structure, accountability, and most importantly, mental and physical toughness. It's non-existent at Auburn now. It's absolutely pathetic, and I know those are harsh words, but see, the thing about mental and physical toughness is, they're created. They really are. I can show you the man that looks the biggest and the toughest, and most likely, I can put him in some circumstances where he'd crumble. Great coaches know how to make great men, and they're built."

I mean, whereas just TWO short years ago Chizik did a superlative job as head coach. I simply do not get it.  It seems to me there must be a lot to the Chizik problems that can be set right, whereas Lane Kiffin simply is hopeless.  He STARTED the year with a team rated number one by many services, sand the REASON was that we had nearly our whole team back and loads of recruited talent coming in...and he still managed to perform almost the impossible by falling so low in the rankings by now that I have no idea how close to the celler the Trojans are right now.  You can't blame it on lack of talent, as I said, but OUR HEAD COACH, far from getting talked of as a candidate for firing, gets GLOWING reassuring endorsements from our Rhodes Scholar A.D.  After stinking up the L.A. Coliseum with a host of elite talent.  Shows you how devalued the Rhodes Scholarship has evidently become.

See, one of Kiff's problems is he's a spoiled child who calls the plays on O, JUST BECAUSE HE SAYS IT IS FUN FOR HIM TO DO SO.  Yet everyone with half a brain can see that he has NO KNACK, no rhythm, no killer instinct, and is utterly PREDICTABLE.  He averages around fifty bubble screens a game, and ALL of them either end in losses or pick sixes.  He has this enormous laminated thing with the plays marked out on them in shades from magenta to pale indigo that we call his Denny's Menu, the only benefit of which is that he hides his ugly kisser behind the huge thing all game, never once communicating with his players.

Which  wouldn't be so devestating if he were mature enough to therefore hand over his Denny's Menu and the play calling with it to someone ELSE, someone like Clay Helton, a really talented young fellow he brought in from Memphis -- check HIS record as an OC --  for reasons thus far inscrutable and meanwhile stand back and simply coach the coaches, as so many INTELLIGENT college head coaches do.  DOES Chizik call the plays on D while also acting as head coach?  Because THAT could be a similar problem to what we have, even though Chizik is a proven quality D.C., but it is asking a coach an awful lot to both manage all phases of the game and ALSO perform a specialty like acting as either OC or DC.  For some bizarre reason Pete Carroll was able to do that, but I think that is what burnt him out and left him a shell of himself, even on D, after too many seasons of overwork.

Whiich is irrelevant to OUR case, because Kiff is incompetent at EVERYTHING.  People foolishly exaggerate his recruiting skills, when he just happens to be located in a great recruiting location with Ed Orgeron as his recruiting coordinator. So, because of this fool notion that Kiff is an ace recruiter, lots of folk are afraid to dump the bum and cut our losses.

I tell you what, I would not be adverse to buying out Chizik's contract and bringing him to USC if we could only kick Kiffin's worthless butt down the stairs first.  I think if Chizik had our personnel this year, we'd have won the Pac 12 south and possibly even beaten Oregon.  Chizik proved he knew how to do THAT a couple of years ago, albeit you did have Nick Fairly et al.  I think we'd be a TWO loss team with Chizik instead of Kiffin, but maybe the grass just looks greener elsewhere.  BUT how can you forget that Chizik won the N.C. just two years ago?  FIGHT ON!
