"The best thing about the exhibition game is that it gives us a chance to watch the film, devour it, break it down and show the guys our strengths and weaknesses."
Auburn led by as much as 51 on two occasions at 92-41 on a conventional Jake Drum three-point play with 3:56 left and then on a Drum layup for a 94-43 lead with 2:52 left. Waller scored 18 of his 27 points in the first half in 13 minutes on 4-of-7 three-point shooting and 7-of-10 shooting from the field.
"For the most part, obviously I played pretty well," Waller said. "Like the coaches said, I had a few mistakes on defense. Most of my shots were hitting today and so my teammates kept telling me to keep shooting so that's what I did. After the first two shots (were misses), I thought I was going to have an off game, but after the timeout, Coach Lebo told me to play within the offense.
"So after I came out and hit my third shot, I got my confidence back and it went on from there."
