May 18, 2013- - Auburn clinched the No. 10 seed in the SEC Baseball Tournament in Hoover, Ala. by defeating No. 11 Arkansas on Saturday, winning the series in the process. The series win was the Tigers' third straight.
Auburn will play No. 7 seed Alabama in single-elimination on Tuesday at approximately 12:30 p.m. CT. Alabama finished the season 14-15, finishing fifth in the SEC West. The winner of the Auburn-Alabama game will face No. 2 seed and SEC West Champion LSU at on Wednesday in the second game of the first session of the day.
Auburn fell to Alabama in the regular-season series, two games to one, in the third weekend series for both. Alabama won the first game, 6-2, and the series finale, 2-0, while Auburn won the middle game, 6-3. Auburn also defeated Alabama, 6-3, in the annual Capital City Classic on March 5 at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery.
