March 26, 2013In head coach Steve Donahue's system, it is imperative that Boston College have plenty of perimeter shooters. They landed one from the class of 2013 on Tuesday.
Three-star shooting guard Darryl Hicks, a 6-foot-3 senior at Louisville (Kent.) Trinity, made the call for the Eagles after a weekend visit.
Trinity head coach Mike Szabo confirmed with the Louisville Courier-Journal what sources had been saying when he indicated that Hicks had committed following his visit.
A former Rivals150 prospect, Hicks fits the athletic profile of an ACC player. He has excellent strength to go along with his size. Hicks is also a good athlete and has outstanding range on his jumper.
Hicks is a finalist for the state of Kentucky's Mr. Basketball award and has more to his arsenal than just jump-shooting. He handles pretty well, can play physical defense and has good passing instincts.
Hicks is the Eagles' second recruit for the 2013 class, joining three-star wing Garland Owens.
