Rivals100 CB ready for Norman
Shortly after National Signing Day Oklahoma's coaches send out the mad musings of strength and conditioning coach Jerry Schmidt to each of their signees to help them prepare for the daunting upcoming Summer workouts.
When you hail from a program like Jenks, Okla. preparation is something you are accustomed to but Gabe Lynn knows that even doing Oklahoma's workouts with a few of his teammates isn't going to prepare him for what it's like to be under the eye of Schmidt.
The 6-foot, 185-pound cornerback says that he has talked to several current Sooners to get a feel for just what he is walking in to.
"It's a mental and physical thing. I know I'm going to get pushed like I never have been before mentally and physically. No matter what he puts in front of me I'm going to get it done the way he is going to get it done," Lynn said. "I've talked to some of the guys and they've all said it will be a lot easier if you go in there willing to work.
"I mean they all say it's going to be really tough no matter what but if you go in their with the mindset of you're going to do what he asks and do it the way he wants it done, life will be easier.
"Right now it's going good. I'm just working out with a couple of other guys from my school with it."
