Moline getting it done
Junior Chane Moline started the season playing running back, but when starting fullback Trevor Theriot went down with a season ending injury, Moline was called upon to pick up the pieces. He has done that and more. BruinBlitz.com had the opportunity to talk Moline after a recent practice.
BruinBlitz.com: Chane due to injuries you were forced into duty and are playing fullback. How has your transition been?
Moline: "Like I told the last person that asked me that question, I was a fullback in high school, so it is familiar territory and even in camp, I did dual roles. Going into the season I knew was going to be a fullback/tailback.
"Obviously when Moose (Trevor Theriot) went down my role became mainly fullback, because that's where the team needed me so that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to do whatever the teams needs.
"I'm taking it in as it is my position and try to do the best I that I can."
BruinBlitz.com: How do you feel you are doing blocking wise and the other grunt type of work that a fullback does?
Moline: "I'm doing well. I go in there and do my best. Stanford has some big linebackers so it is going to be a tough job this week, but I go in there and give it my all. I mean I'm not a small guy anyway so I can go in there and block whoever so I like it."
