Bailey bonds with future teammates
Georgia Tech hosted most of their 2010 commitments this past weekend and Loganville offensive lineman Morgan Bailey was among the players who enjoyed a great week in Atlanta. Bailey spent a lot of time hanging out with players and talking football and life with the Yellow Jacket coaching staff. Bailey feels a particularly close bond to his fellow 2010 classmates.
"It was awesome and all the kids are pretty tight and closely knit together," Bailey said of the 2010 class. "We hung out with the players went around and chilled, we also ate a lot."
Bailey spent a lot of his visit with one of the redshirt freshmen groups that features two of his fellow offensive linemen in it.
"I had a great time hanging out with Will Jackson, Ray Beno, Jordan Luallen and Daniel Drummond," he said. "They were all pretty cool."
During the visit Bailey also had an opportunity to speak with the Jackets' two offensive line coaches Mike Sewak and Todd Spencer to discuss his future in the program and what things will be like when he reports in June.
"We talked to all the coaches, but I spent a lot of time talking with Coach Spencer and Coach Sewak," Bailey said. "They told me they were excited to have me and what I can expect next year. We talked about a lot of different."
Both offensive line coaches advised Bailey to stay at his current weight and not to add any additional poundage. Bailey currently weighs just less than 290 pounds.
"The coaches told me that they are happy with the weight I am at now," he said. "They said I need to work on my speed and strength so I can get bigger and faster."
All an all, Bailey really enjoyed the trip and was very happy spending time with his future teammates.
"I feel like part of the Jacket family after this weekend. All the players and coaches took us in and embraced us," he said. "We had a good time and it was fun."
